Dairy ROTR in Rypin
The automation system operates receipt of milk, washing of car cisterns,
automatic collectors and two pasteurizers. The process is controlled by a
computer. The automation system is formed of four PLC controllers from GEFanuc
and two operator’s stations with InTouch software. All controllers are connected
within an Ethernet network to ensure data exchange. This allowed us to provide
safety devices taking into account the interdependencies between various parts
of the plant.
An interesting mission of the visualisation system is creation of HACCP reports.
When a predefined event occurs (e.g. pasteurisation starts), InTouch saves the
process parameters and event description in the ACCESS database. An additional
application, written in Visual Basic, uses Crystal Reports to generate reports.
In the opinion of the president of ROTR Dairy in Rypin the automation system
improved the control of technological processes and operations, simplified the
archiving of process data, allowed easier analysis of data and operation of the
system.
Colgate Palmolive in Halinów
The automation system operates the CIP process line washing station. We used the
existing PLC central unit. Supplementary I/O controllers and automation
components communicate via Profibus. Some parts may be disconnected from the
system and connected in other locations. Switching can be made “on a run-time
basis”. The system automatically detects a new configuration.
Most of works were done while the process lines were working. We worked on
software already implemented in the controller. The changes, which we made to
the program, could not interfere with the plant’s operation.
The process is controlled by a computer, using installed InTouch visualisation
software.
Dairy „Kurpie” in Baranów
The automation system controls four pasteurisers, heat receipt systems, three
washing stations, a filtering system. The process can be controlled either
locally or via a computer. The automation system is formed of eight PLC
controllers from GEFanuc and an operator’s station using InTouch software. All
controllers are collected within Ethernet for data exchange. Individual units
collaborate within an uniform system.
Data transmission uses EGD protocol to allow very simple configuration of
variable exchange areas and diagnosing of communication. The data transmission
speed is very high. Beside displaying values and archiving, the visualisation
system creates HACCP reports.
